Karen 

Karen is a member of our team of Patient Service Representatives. She has been in the industry for years and with McKnight Eye Centers for 8 years. Karen assists in both Check-in and Check-out responsibilities along with any insurance questions and referrals that may come up at the front desk. In her personal time, Karen enjoys spending time with her family. She and her family live on their family farm and enjoys spending time fishing and being outdoors. She resides in Turney, MO.

Lindsay

Lindsay is a member of our team of Patient Service Representatives. Lindsay has been working in the industry for 15 years and has been with our office for 9 years. In her free time Lindsay enjoys spending time with her family which includes her Husband, their son, 2 cats, and 1 dog. She also enjoys the flea market, crafting, and decorating.

Miranda

Miranda is a member of our diagnostic imaging and discharging team. She has been with our office for 5 years and has never let her smile leave her face while taking care of our patients. Miranda always makes an effort to make the patient's experience at our office better than the last. In her personal time, Miranda enjoys playing volleyball or spending time with her family which includes her husband, their 2 children and two dogs Ruger, and Benelli. She and her family spend a lot of time enjoying the outdoors and fishing. She resides in Excelsior Springs, MO.

Patricia

Patricia (Coworkers know her as PJ) began her working career as a switchboard operator for a Business College downtown Kansas City. She then went on to begin her career in the Medical Field in 1972 in a Private General Medical Practice as a patient service representative. She then moved to a Multi-Specialty Practice continuing to work as a Patient Service Representative with various other office duties. She started her career in Ophthalmology in 1984 working as a Team Leader over the front office, then moving to Administrative assistant, and on to Administrator over several locations. She joined McKnight Eye Centers in 2010 as a Patient Service Representative and is currently the initial person to handle incoming calls, all medical records requests & scheduling of appointments. PJ has 4 daughters, 10 grandchildren, & 2 great-grandchildren. All of her family live close so that she is able to spend lots of time with them. She resides in Kansas City, MO.

Rachel

Rachel spent the last 15 years in property management and is new to the ophthalmology field, She is excited for her new journey as a Patient Care Rep with Mcknight Eye Centers and is eager to learn all she can to make our Patients lives better. When not in the office Rachel loves to spend time with her four adult children, two grandbabies, and the love of her life her 5-year-old Boxer Negan and his Pitbull sidekick Honey Honey. She also enjoys reading, binging crime drama shows, going to concerts, traveling to new places, and finding and collecting all the cool rocks she can. She resides in Liberty, Mo.

April

April is new to McKnight Eye Center and the field but is excited about her new journey. April enjoys helping people, which is what led her to our practice. April has many hobbies outside of the office such as Photography and walks with her dogs. April resides in KCMO.

Cary 

Cary has been a part of the McKnight Eye Center Family since 2012, and she has over 20 years of experience working as an eye care professional. She holds multiple undergraduate degrees and studied at the University of Houston College Of Optometry. Cary is very versatile in our practice. Currently her day-to-day duties focus on working with our patients getting them ready for the doctor. She is also trained as a medical scribe to capture, and record chart notes correctly and efficiently. In addition to her work at MEC, she is also an Adjunct Professor teaching for the Biology Department at Kansas City Metro Community Colleges. Cary enjoys crafting and cheering on KU with her dog Henry. She resides in Kansas City, MO.

Hanna

Hanna has been in the medical field for 3 years, but she is new to ophthalmology, and is thrilled to learn and grow in this industry. Hanna enjoys spending time with her family, shopping, gardening, and just enjoying the outdoors.

Tessa

Tessa is new to Ophthalmology and is excited to expand her knowledge and grow personally and professionally, when not in the office Tessa enjoys reading and spending time with her two dogs Missy and Bennie.

Cheyanne

Cheyanne has lots of experience in the healthcare field but is new to Ophthalmology and eager to learn more. She has been a tech at Children's Mercy ER as well as NKC Hospital and nursing homes. She also comes from 12 years of general management at Sonic. Cheyanne has 4 beautiful children (9,8,5 and almost 3) and loves spending every minute with them when not at work. Her kiddos are very active in sports, so they spend their Saturdays on the field or the court. She resides in Excelsior Springs. Go Tigers!

Shannon

Shannon spent ten years in General Dentistry and then expanded her skills by joining an Oral Surgeons office for 3 years, however, she decided to challenge herself and try a new career path. While she is new to ophthalmology she is learning quickly and has always enjoyed taking care of her patients. Her free time is spent attending the extracurricular activities of her kids, she has a daughter and two bonus sons. She enjoys watching the kids play soccer, softball, football, or basketball, taking the kids fishing and hunting, or cooking meals with family and friends.

Shelley

Shelley is new to the ophthalmology field and looks forward to growing and providing excellent patient care. In her free time, Shelley enjoys spending time with her family, playing sports, being out in nature, traveling, and riding horses. She is also an avid photographer.

Morgan

Morgan is a recent graduate of Temple University Philadelphia and is new to the ophthalmology field but is excited to learn more about quality patient care and the various types of medical professions. In her free time, she enjoys reading, art, and hanging out with her friends.

Noah

Noah spent just under a year working in optometry before coming to our practice. He wanted to learn more about the medical side of eye care and has thoroughly enjoyed his experience in ophthalmology so far. In his free time, Noah enjoys hiking with friends, spending time with family, and riding his motorcycle.

Cassie

Cassie joined the team in 2023 and was new to the world of ophthalmology. She is very excited to grow and learn as much about this industry. She loves working with people and being able to make a difference. In her free time, Cassie enjoys spending time with her cats, taking care of her farm animals, and reading.

Kennedy

Kennedy has been in eye care for one year, Kennedy worked as a technologist for an optometric center. She is excited to expand her knowledge of ophthalmology. Kennedy in her free time likes to spend time with her family and also enjoys being on their farm.

Loren

Loren has worked in the medical field before as a CNA and EKG Technician. Loren is new to ophthalmology and is excited to learn. Loren loves to spend her time gardening, reading, and cooking. She has 3 cats at home that act like dogs.

Cassia

Cassia attended liberty north high school, graduated with her associates in liberal arts at Maple woods, and is excited to start her next journey in our field. In her spare time Cassia loves to shop and spend time with her cat Yeezy.
Cassia resides in the Liberty/KCMO area.

Alyssa

Alyssa is brand new to the field and is super excited to see what her future brings. Alyssa is eager to learn something new each day to expand her knowledge. Alyssa loves to travel and spend time with her family.

Blue

Blue brings with her 10 years of experience in Optometry. She is new to the Ophthalmology field but is a very quick learner. She enjoys patient care above all things and is eager to learn as much as she can and grow in the field. Outside of the office she likes to spend time with her family, read and hang out with her dogs.

Banks

Banks has been in the field for 5 years. He started in Retina and now is thriving in our Glaucoma clinic. Banks likes to spend his free time with his family and making memories. He loves baseball and you'll notice that with his son's name Boston and his pup named Fenway. He does have another dog Stella that he also loves dearly.

Lindsey

Lindsey is happy to be on board here at Mcknight Eye Center to expand her knowledge and make a difference in our patients' life. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her husband, two daughters and 3 dogs. She enjoys painting, disc golfing and spending most of her time outdoors doing fun adventures.

Allyson

Allyson started in the field in 2021 at the Front Desk. Since she has been trained in Injections and Teching. Allyson is working on obtaining her COA to further her knowledge. In her free time, she likes paddleboarding, painting, and spending time with her daughter.

Ruth 

Ruth is a member of our insurance and billing team. She has been in the medical billing and coding industry for over 30 years, 7 of which have been spent here at McKnight Eye Centers. Ruth always makes an effort to explain the details of the patient’s bill anytime there are questions. In her personal time, Ruth enjoys spending time with her family which includes her husband, children, and grandchildren. She enjoys being a part of her church worship team and serving in her community. She resides in Kansas City, MO.

Lisa

Lisa's twenty-four years of experience have made her an extremely valuable part of our team. She never shies away from a challenge and is eager to help everyone around her in making sure that our patients have the best care possible. Lisa is a mom to a science experiment-loving 11-year-old, so when she is not cleaning up overflowing volcanoes, she loves to dive into a good book, spend time with her rescue animals or pack up and head to the lake with her family.

Blakli

Blakli is new to McKnight Eye Centers and Ophthalmology. Blakli is eager to learn everything she can to be the best she can be for her patients. Blakli enjoys spending time with her friends, baking for those around her, and crafting.

Teryn

Teryn is a member of our team of Patient Service Representatives. She has been in the medical industry for 5 years and with McKnight Eye Centers for 1 year. Teryn assists with the Check-out responsibilities along with any insurance questions, follow-up appointments, and referrals that may come up at the front desk. In her personal time, Teryn enjoys spending time with her family and watching her favorite sports teams play on the weekends. She and her family are typically enjoying the outdoors or crafting if they are not at an event for any of the three girls. Teryn is an avid lover of animals and currently has 1 dog Jasper and 3 cats; Kristoff, Tinkerbell, and GusGus.
